Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) - Review

Thor: Love and Thunder seems to have divided a fanbase, but after seeing the movie, that really confuses me. Some claim that the film is too jokey, despite having many scenes without any laughs at all. People claim looks bad when there are great sequences like the Shadow Realm. Some claim that the film isn’t setting up the future of the MCU, when hardly any of the Marvel movies ever did that. Thanos didn’t even have a character until Infinity War. I feel like many are judging the movie on what it isn’t rather than what it is. The film still has its problems. Like Taika’s last Thor film, it rushes through what previous films have set up so Taika can get to the stuff he cares about, and some more time with Jane Foster would’ve helped the film’s impact. The film is still a great roller coaster ride, with a lot of heart, great comedic moments, and entertaining set pieces.
