Love, Death, and Robots: Vol. 3 (2022) - Review

The third volume of this sci-fi anthology series still isn’t afraid to take risks, for better or for worse. The majority of the time, the shorts are great. There is a great variety of subjects in the show, from three robots travelling across a destroyed Earth, voyages at sea gone wrong, and rats fighting exterminator robots. The shorts that fall short often suffer from awkward humour or experimental visuals that serve just to confuse. Despite the quality of each episode, the animation is always beautiful, utilizing every animation style you could think of. If you are a fan of science fiction, animation, or both, this volume delivers some solid shorts that will spark your imagination.
