Hustle (2022) - Review

Does this film continue the Adam Sandler comeback? In my opinion, yes. The film takes this classic sports story, the rags to riches tale, and adds some great editing and performances. Adam Sandler is great, at first I was surprised how one-note and unenergetic he was, but as the film goes along I realized it was on purpose, and the Sandler charisma returns. The montages are great in this as well. training montages are themselves a crowded genre, but these ones do a pretty great job at both telling a story through the montage and being well-shot. If you love an underdog, or you’re a fan of basketball, this one’s a pretty good time.
