Doctor Strange (2016) - Review

The run-of-the-mill origin story brought up by stellar sequences and great visual effects. Those VFX are really the star of the show. They are trippy, unique, and create interesting places for our heroes and villains to go. The sequences of action are pretty good too, and it helps that by the second half it is nearly all action. The pace is surprisingly good, and it makes the generic tale a little bit more digestible. Doctor Strange himself is a fine character, Benedict Cumberbatch does a pretty great job, but it is just a story we’ve seen plenty of time before, even in this franchise. The ending does really save it though, thank god it doesn’t end will a sky laser or some shit.
