Better Call Saul: Season 3 (2017) - Review

Better Call Saul Season Three takes the entire show to a whole other level. Like the previous seasons, the characters are great. The direction is phenomenal and the writing is fantastic. And the real highlight for me here is Jimmy and Chuck. These two characters are arguably some of the two best characters I've seen. They're so paradoxical to themselves that they're so endearing and engaging to watch. You love to hate Chuck. You hate him. He's so aggressive towards Jimmy, he hates him. And you're like, why do you hate him so much? Why do you hate him? Just accept him for who he is. The show does a phenomenal job and not only make you sympathetic towards Chuck's disease, but you make him sympathetic to how he feels. You understand his jealousy towards Jimmy. Jimmy is fantastic, too. He's similarly paradoxical. You love how charismatic and how energetic that Saul is. He's so instantly likable, but he keeps doing these shady things that ruin his relationships. And you just wish that if he stopped, he would be better in all his relationships. He would be happy. But that's not him. It's not himself. He has to be himself. And that's where great drama and great conflict are born. The other parts of the series are great as well. I love the introduction to Gus in the series. I love all the other subplots with Nacho, with Mike. You get some great highlights with Kim Wexler. You get some great development. Finally for Howard, and you even get some development for Hector Salamanca. It's so phenomenal and so engaging to watch. As I keep saying over and over again, I can't wait to see where this series goes next. And if this is just the start of the peak, well, I don't know if I can handle what comes next.
