The Adam Project (2022) - Review

The Adam Project is fine… that’s it. It’s a generic sci-fi premise done alright. It’s not insultingly bland but it’s not innovative either. The performances are alright, but they do fall into the same old same old Deadpool-isms of comedy. The action is solid if not a bit uninspired. It’s mindlessly mediocre, with the director Shawn Levy trying his best to put some heartfelt moments into it. The story does feel a little stretched out, dealing with younger vs older Adam, future Adam and his wife, and both Adam’s with their dad. If the film just focused on one of those, I may have felt a bit more passion towards this, but as it is, it’s fine.
