Bullet Train (2022) - Review
Bullet Train was one hell of a ride. I haven’t been the biggest fan of David Leitch’s previous movies, but this film hit all the spots for me. Maybe it was the fast-paced, witty script that kept the energy up. Maybe it was the amazing cast who all had the charisma and chemistry to pull off the winding narrative. Maybe it was the tone, which was so over-the-top and fun without losing the stakes. Or maybe it was David Leitch’s direction, which was surprisingly stylish from what I was expecting. Either way, this is the type of movie I love, one that is clever in its writing and structure but also clever enough to still have fun. Sometimes it’s just cool to have people battle with katanas on a train, and Bullet Train delivers that in the best way possible.
