Color Out of Space (2019) - Review
The only enjoyment coming from this film was laughing along with my family by its complete lack of substance and absurdity. The film is just nonsensical from beginning to end, with no purpose or emotional attachment to speak of. Nic Cage tries his best to save this, with some great Cage-isms and brilliant line delivery that brought out laughs galore, but I don’t think that was the point. Its filmmaking was lazy, cliche, and boring. The acting, other than Cage, was embarrassing. The whole decent into madness feels useless because there is no meaning to it, plus it wasn’t stellar in any filmmaking sense. A complete waste of time, just watch the Colour Purple. Literally.
